I’m Here In Nashville
By: William Piper
Verse I:
Here I am down in Nashville, bought my guitar along.
Want to join a country band, and sing some country songs.
Born down here sometime ago, grew up with my guitar.
Nashville’s got the music to become a country star.
Chorus:
I’ve played this old guitar since I was only three.
Now I’m down in Nashville, a rebel at the Grand Old Op’ry.
I’ve played this old guitar, hmm, what your think of me.
Verse II:
If you like country music, Nashville’s the place for you.
Come on down, bring your guitar,
Now see what you can do,
Yeah, see what you can do.
Chorus:
I’ve played this old guitar since I was only three.
Now I’m down in Nashville, a rebel at the Grand Old Op’ry.
Oh, I’m here in Nashville, tryin’ to catch a break.
I think I will for Heaven sake.
Music and out:
What you say, I’m gonna make it one day.
