Garden of Stone

By: Randy Ritter

Verse 1:
Just a year ago today, I got the awful news.
Out on some dark highway, I lost all I had to lose.
My precious gift from God, as pure as she could be;
Sweet as any angel, the woman who loved me.

Chorus:
Now the home that we once shared, is just an empty shell.
And on my best days, life is a living hell.
Ain't it sad that you don't know, what you've got 'til it's all gone.
All that's left for me are memories...
And a garden of stone.

Verse 2:
Twelve lonely months I've walked, these sacred grounds everyday. When the wind blows through the willows, it beckons me to stay.
So I'll keep holding on to the memories of our love,
In this garden of stone, until I meet her up above.

Repeat Chorus
